Cheesy Herby Veggie Pasta

Cheesy Herby Veggie Pasta

If you're in search of a meal that's not only delicious but also packed with wholesome goodness for your little ones, then this cheesy herby pasta will be right up your kids street.

Packed with peas, broccoli and mushrooms, this herby pasta is one of Deeya's favourites. Off course if your little one hates the sight of veggies you can easily mash and blend them further so they're totally disguised in the sauce.

This medley of tender pasta, cream cheese and herbs, creates a delightful fusion that's both comforting and exciting for children. Loaded with essential nutrients, this recipe is designed to nourish growing bodies while introducing them to the joys of herbs and flavours.

Here's what you will need:

  • 20 grams pasta (any you prefer)
  • 1 tablespoon full fat cream cheese
  • 3 Broccoli florets
  • Handful of peas
  • 2 Mushrooms
  • ½ Teaspoon Magic Herb dust

Here's what to do:

  • Cook the pasta as per packet instructions. Five minutes before it's done throw in the broccoli florets. With one minute left throw in the peas too. (So you have pasta, broccoli and peas all cooking in the same pan).
  • Once it's all cooked, drain the water out.
  • Wash and cut the mushrooms into small pieces. Cook in a little butter for a few mins until soft and cooked through.
  • Combine the pasta. broccoli, peas and mushrooms. Add the cream cheese and magic herb dust. Let it cook on low heat for a few minutes. Add a splash of milk to loosen it.
  • Once it comes together, turn the heat off and let it cool before serving. Grate in some cheese, to make it extra cheesy.
